Treatment Sclerotherapy
Improve the appearance of your veins

Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to treat diseases of the vascular and lymphatic systems, as well as vascular neoplasms (vascular malformations). To do so, a special medication is injected into the vessel to be treated, which causes a narrowing of its walls and subsequent absorption. In childhood and adolescence, this method is primarily used to treat tumors of the vascular and lymphatic systems; in adults, it is most often used to treat varicose veins and hemorrhoids.

How It Works

Sclerosing agents can be in liquid or foam form. During a sclerotherapy session, the doctor performs 3 to 8 injections. The number of injections depends on the degree of venous injury and the type of sclerosing medication. It may take 1 to 5 (on average 2-3) sessions. The number of procedures is determined by the doctor. Our goal is to meet your expectations, prevent worsening of venous disease and complications, restore satisfactory hemodynamics, and achieve a satisfactory result both functionally and aesthetically.

Your Results

Varicose veins can cause cosmetic issues in addition to pain and discomfort. Sclerotherapy can help improve their appearance as well as their symptoms. The recovery from sclerotherapy is generally quick. You will most likely be able to resume your usual activities the same day. Smaller veins usually disappear more quickly than larger ones. In terms of appearance, it can take several weeks to see the final results for spider veins, and a few months for varicose veins. Veins that have been properly treated with sclerotherapy will not reappear. However, new vessels may develop over time.
